Give from your IRA – Qualified Charitable Distributions

Donate up to $100,000 per tax year directly from an IRA.

If you’re 70 1/2 or older, you can donate up to $100,000 per tax year directly from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to charities like 4VEH.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD), also called IRA rollovers or IRA gifts, are a wonderful way to support God’s kingdom work in Haiti through 4VEH by allowing your dollars to go further: QCDs may be excluded from your taxable income and qualify towards your required minimum distribution (RMD).

  • You must be 70 1/2 or older at the time of gifting your IRA to charity.
  • You may distribute an amount, up to $100,000 in a calendar year, to one or more public charities, so long as it is completed by December 31 of that year.
  • Donations must go directly from your IRA to the qualified public charity.

How to make an IRA qualified charitable distribution gift to 4VEH

Here’s how to make a gift form your IRA:

  • Contact your IRA administrator and instruct them to transfer funds to 4VEH.
  • Help us credit your gift and thank you by having your IRA administrator include your full name and mailing address on the gift, as well as a note that the transfer is an IRA Qualified Charitable Gift.

Your financial institution can mail a check, payable to “4VEH” to:

4VEH, Inc, PO Box 1931, Columbus, IN 47202-1931

If your financial institution cannot include your full name and address with the check, please contact us directly by phone 812.848.4834 or email info@4veh.org with the name of your financial institution, check number and check amount so we can identify your donation when it arrives.
