Darbel decided to take his life after comments made by an older relative left him feeling disgraced and hopeless.
“I couldn’t find another solution, only to kill myself”
But early on the day Darbel was going to do this, he “happened” to turn his 4VEH solar radio on and he heard The Gospel Hour.
The host of the program was talking about a passage which says to brush off the dust from your sandals if people don’t welcome you. He said, “Young man, young woman, don’t kill yourself. If you feel uneasy, just brush off the dust of your sandals and go somewhere else and God will help you.”
Those words saved Darbel’s life. Today, he is well and happy. He met and married a Christian woman, and they have a beautiful baby girl. He says his goal is to preach the gospel “like Paul the Apostle did.” He adds, “After God, 4VEH is my life. It’s in my ears every day.”
